by Feeder on Nov.23, 2009, under Web Hosting Talk
im totally new to web hosting and am after some advice.
yesterday i opened an account with justhost.com
i was happy and made up as all the reviews i read on all the top webreview websites rated them as the best for all aspects!
unlimted diskspace,unlimited bandwidth,unlimited everything basically
then after i sign up get an account with them i check on,typed in "is justhost a scam" and couldnt believe what i was reading about them.
people saying they have been scammed and there sites gettin shut down without warning etc etc. Some saying as soon as they started gettin 200 visitors a day there site was immediately shutdown without warning, and to get it back up they need to upgrade their account to $150 a month
people saying its not a real company, some saying the customer service is diabolical ie,they dont speak english, dont respond and dont help you with your queries and so on.
so i immediately contacted them askin was they a bogus firm and so on (just to see if i got a reply)and why do they shut down sites sometimes for no reason and when people get a few hundred hits a day and heres my reply
Hi Danny,
Nope, this is not true.
We have suspended policy: <a href="http://www.justhost.com/terms” target=”_blank”>http://www.justhost.com/terms and there you can find the following:

User may not:
Use 25% or more of system resources for longer than 90 seconds. There are numerous activities that could cause such problems; these include: CGI scripts, FTP, PHP, HTTP, etc.
Run stand-alone, unattended server-side processes at any point in time on the server. This includes any and all daemons, such as IRCD.
Run any type of web spider or indexer (including Google Cash / AdSpy) on shared servers.
Run any software that interfaces with an IRC (Internet Relay Chat) network.
Run any bit torrent application, tracker, or client. You may link to legal torrents off-site, but may not host or store them on our shared servers.
Participate in any file-sharing/peer-to-peer activities
Run any gaming servers such as counter-strike, half-life, battlefield1942, etc
Run cron entries with intervals of less than 15 minutes
When using PHP include functions for including a local file, include the local file rather than the URL. Instead of include("http://yourdomain.com/include.php") use include("include.php")
While our shared services are suitable for the bulk of our customers, there comes a time for some websites when they are better suited for a larger plan, which allows for more dedicated CPU and memory resources. We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to discontinue service to any customer with a website or other hosted data that takes up more than 10% of the server resources and/or 10% of the server’s CPU. This means that if your website is found to be utilizing more than 10% of the CPU and memory of the service, we reserve the right to take your site offline. If this becomes necessary, you can either upgrade your hosting package, or request a pro-rated refund of the amounts you have paid in advance for the services. Due to the severity of this, and our ability to act quickly to correct these situations to avoid server issues, we will do everything reasonably feasible to provide you with a warning prior to taking your site offline, but we accept no obligation to do so!

now i am confused???
i built my site yesterday perfectly (now its been suspended of course)i just dont want to run the risk of getting it up and running only for it to be shut down.
if it was all a scam tho, wouldnt they just take my money and run?why didnt they just ignore me? and last of all why would they give me my money back,no questions asked.
i also wondered how they got to number 1 in all the top webhost rankings.so i checked youtube and this is what i found!! SHOCKING

any help and info would be great.
